Charles Beresford, Founder, CEO, and Portfolio Manager

Charlie Beresford, CFA founded Long Game Financial (“LGF”) in 2017 and serves as LGF’s CEO and portfolio manager.

Mr. Beresford's professional investing experience spans a diverse set of client mandates, colleagues, asset classes, investing styles, and equity research industry specialties, including consumer, financial services, real estate, and technology. He began his investing career in 2006 at MFS Investment Management in Boston, MA. After leaving MFS to earn his M.B.A., he analyzed businesses and securities at buy-side firms including Citadel LLC and a New York City-based family office. 

Mr. Beresford earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Brown University in 2005 and an M.B.A. with honors from the University of Chicago in 2012. He is a CFA® charterholder.


David Wu Finkelstein, IAR

David Wu Finkelstein joined LGF as an Investment Adviser Representative in 2021.

Prior to joining LGF, Mr. Finkelstein developed extensive financial services industry experience with a focus on alternative asset manager distribution. Most recently, Mr. Finkelstein served as Vice President with Vivaldi Asset Management in Chicago, where he led sales and marketing efforts for their suite of exchange-traded funds and private strategies. He began his investment career at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management in New York City in 2012.

Mr. Finkelstein graduated from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2009 with a double major in Economics and East Asian Languages and Cultures.
